How identity verification works
Every Allison Feet member photographs a government ID and a selfie. Here is what we check, what we store, and why both sides verify.
Every member — buyer and seller — must pass identity and age verification before they can chat, appear with an avatar, or (for sellers) offer a gallery and video calls. That is the trust layer the marketplace is built on.
What you do
Verification is handled by a specialist identity provider. You photograph a government-issued ID and take a short selfie. The check confirms the document is genuine, the face matches, and you are at least 18. Most people finish in a few minutes.
Start from Profile → Verification after you create an account. You will be sent to the provider and returned here when the decision lands.
What we store
We store the verification status (and enough to know it is your account). We do not turn your ID photos into a public profile. Other members see that you are verified — they do not see your legal name or document.
Why both sides verify
- Sellers are not talking to anonymous throwaways
- Buyers are not buying from stolen or underage accounts
- If someone breaks the Terms, we can act on a real identity
You can still browse public galleries while signed out. Verification unlocks the parts of the product that involve other people: messaging, avatars, selling, and video.
Ready to look around?
Browsing is free. Create an account when you want a profile, then upgrade only if you want private chat or video.
